I cannot possibly express how thankful I am for what you are doing. I had never seen anything by William Bouguereau until I happend upon a spurious link in a search engine which led me to directly to your index for his work. I did not know such beautiful work existed. I have since explored more of your site and have learned that I was not alone in the dark.

I have a good regular job, but just for fun I write stories and music. I am not a visual artist. I belong to that class of ordinary folk who garner considerable disdain when they confess "I know what I like when I see it". This surely disqualifies me as an art critic. But please allow me to confess that without knowing any of the history, from a position of near total ignorance of the art world, when I saw Bouguereau's Calinerie, I cried. I cried because I didn't think man was capable of espressing beauty so masterfully.

Thank you again for the wonderful work you are doing. I have become a member.

Respectfully,

David Hubbs
