Congratulations for Art Renewal Central. It's really an inspirational website. I am lerning so much from it that you can't imagine. It almost represent freedom to my senses.

I always felt that, to like a painting, I needed to sense it in and in it the essence of my soul. So, I rejected the "masterpieces" of Picasso, Dali and others as works of art. Because of my opinion about modernism, I was ostracized by those that call themselves "art lovers". In a ocasion, I found a painter that put non-toxic paint in his mouth and spit it to a white canvas... and voilá! Art was born! I was insulted just because I said that such a non-sense wasn't art, but a mess. But I heard so many times that I was wrong, that I was starting to doubt myself and my heart. Then I saw your website and I found paintings so magical that I was overwhelmed and people that felt just like me. Thank you very much. I am know a huge fan of Bouguereau (I was amazed by the hypnotic eyes of the figures depicted in most of his masterpieces), Sir Frank Dicksee (I can't stop admiring "La Belle Dame Sans Merci) or Guillaume Seignac. In fact, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to tell me more about him. I can't find anything on the internet. I just adore his "The Awakenig of Psiche". Here in Portugal there is no information about great painters as those I mention above. It is just not fair! Thank you very much for you attention. I hope to hear from you soon.
