Introduction 

This course is a long and an intensive program on portraiture. Composition studies are also included in the curriculum. A student can choose from two options: painting + composition or drawing + composition. The course  is  recommended  for both  beginners  and advanced painters, as the professor assists the students both individually and in the group. 

Course objectives

• Learning about compositional arrangement of the canvas 

• Undestanding proportions of the big form and small forms of the head

• Deepening anatomy analysis and its application in drawing and painting process 

• Refining details of the face (nose, eyes, lips and etc.)

• Developing a broader coloristic and tonal vision and elaborate implementation of all aspects

• Revealing physicological complexion of model's character

Schedule: Monday to Friday* (3 or 2,5 hours per day**)

*except Easter break holiday or public holidays (see academic calendar)

** Painting sessions normally last 3 hours, meanwhile drawing sessions 2,5 hours 

Please note, if there is a tour to the museum organized, the entrance fee is paid by the student, while professional guidance of the teacher is included in tuition.
