Thank you to the Ingbretson Studio
Published on June 19, 2019
Established in 1982 by Paul Ingbretson, the
Ingbretson Studio of Drawing and Painting provides a direct link to the Nineteenth Century Boston School approach to painting, which includes instruction in direct painting, academic draughtsmanship, full color light effects, composition, and painterly craft.
Ingbretson Studio is proud to sponsor the Da Vinci Initiative category in the ARC Salon as a way to support young artists seeking quality visual arts knowledge and training. Ingbretson Studio has trained a number of high school students within its adult program through the years, and continues to open its doors to youth and adults alike who are seeking quality arts training through Full Time, Part Time, and Workshop offerings. Paul Ingbretson is author of the book Boston School Aesthetic that will be available in print next year as well as producer of a series of free online presentations on the methods and thinking of the Boston School of Painting (see
bostonschoolpainting.com or online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbfsHeWmRAo). "Paul Ingbretson Talks about Painting," now on YouTube, is their latest ongoing effort to reach out with Paul's thinking and that of the Boston School.
