ARC Master Ted Seth Jacobs passed away at his home in France this past April.

Born in 1927, Jacobs was a world renowned artist who dedicated himself to the Representational Art Movement.  He taught thousands of students at the Art Students' League of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology, the New York Academy, as well as in his own atelier in France. He also served as a guest instructor at several other atelier schools.

Ted Seth Jacobs had numerous solo and group shows in galleries and museums and has written several books including Light for the Artist, The Dictionary of Human Form, Drawing What the Eye Sees and Drawing with an Open Mind.

His importance to the 21st Century Representational Art Movement is well recognized and his absence will be felt by the ARC community.
