5th International NTDTV Figure Painting Competition

The 5th International Figure Painting Competition is now accepting entries.
This competition seeks figurative oil paintings that depict traditional moral values and that were created using realistic artistic techniques.
Traditional realistic techniques are fundamental to fine art. It is one of the most important cultural expressions of human civilization. However, techniques themselves are not the only elements required to create fine art. An artist differs from an artisan in that an artist can use their work to positively enlighten the minds and hearts of the viewers.
The work of an artist also belongs to the society it influences. Therefore, NDTV believes that a leading artist must be aware of their mission in reviving traditional fine art today.
The deadline for registration is July 15, 2019. Finalists are exhibited November 24-30, 2019 at the Salmagundi Club (47 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10003). A Gold Medal Prize of $10,000 is also offered in the competition.
