January 16, 2017

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located on 1000 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10028 is holding an exhibition of Velazquez portraits from now until March 12, 2017.

Seven exceptional portraits by Velázquez, including The Met's iconic Juan de Pareja, are on view in this focused exhibition, which shows how the artist captured the variety of human experience. Two paintings from the Hispanic Society of America Portrait of a Young Girl and Cardinal Camillo Astalli-Pamphili were recently cleaned and restored at The Met and are also displayed.
