| The Art Renewal Center is pleased to welcome Alan Merris Bell as our newest ARC Living Artist™. Alan Merris Bell is a fine artist from Portland, Oregon. He attended the San Francisco Academy of Art and began his art career in 1971 while serving in the U.S. Army as an illustrator for Infantry Magazine. Alan retired in 2005 after 30 years of service as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the City of Portland and is now able to work full time on his art.
