The Artist Garden by Jim McVicker

My wife and I have had this garden for 30 years and paint it each spring and summer. It's always most lush in May and June, and that is the time of year I painted this. It's the morning light and I worked on it for several sessions, as I stand, observe and paint each day. The garden is always a joy to behold and a difficult subject to paint. Lots or roses, foxglove, daisies, poppies and nasturtiums. The light seems to dance across the flowers and foliage which are changing day by day.
